VALORANT's Agent Omen Has Yet Another Game-Breaking Glitch

The grim reaper just can’t catch a break. Just last week, VALORANT agent Omen had to be disabled after a game-breaking bug made it possible for Omen to teleport past the spawn barriers before the start of the round. Once Riot Games had fixed the bug, Omen was back in-game over the weekend. However, inquisitive redditor u/Somewhat-Shifty found another bug which allows Omen to gain a significant vision advantage through a glitch in the UI of his smoke ability Dark Cover.

Usually once used, the smokescreen ability has to fly across the map to its destination as a projectile. The glitch makes it so that the vision of the Omen player will travel on this path and once it reaches its destination, it will appear as if Omen has arrived at the location that Dark Cover has been placed on himself.

To add insult to injury, Omen does not actually fly to the chosen location as it may appear. From the video, we can see that at least teammates and their abilities are visible, a feature that usually isn't accessible in the Dark Cover UI, suggesting that enemies would be too. This could give Omen the ability to use this exploit as an indestructible information gathering tool much like a Cypher Camera without much in the way of effective counter-play.

Whether or not this is an easy fix or if our boy Omen has to go for a second round in time out is so far unknown. The severity of the glitch certainly appears to be strong enough to warrant it though the bug fortunately doesn't appear to be as reproducible as the last one.
