Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa has had a taste of rap star life, and clearly she likes it, because the ASMR streamer has teased fans with the idea that she could be on the way to making a whole album.

Amouranth had us scratching our heads when she announced that had she created her first ever music video and pulled in some of her famous YouTuber friends for the ride, like Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren and Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker. The song itself, written by Amouranth about the hate she received for buying a 7/11 gas station, definitely raised some eyebrows. However, the 28-year-old later revealed in an interview with Anthony Padilla that it was meant to be "memeable" and "cringe".

However, the video actually ended up getting a fair bit of coverage and racked up a decent amount of views. So much so, that Amouranth has teased that if it continues to well, she might end up doing a whole album.

When Did Amouranth Release Her Music Video?

Amouranth posted the YouTube music video for her song 'Down Bad' back on January 16, much to everyone's surprise. The song itself was a way through the hate back at the trolls who have plagued her with misogynistic slurs since she found fame during Twitch's 'Hot Tub meta'. Many have even claimed that the streamer should be banned from the Amazon-owned platform for good because 'she doesn't belong' there.

Although, the song's overuse of auto-tune as well as the "cringe" song lyrics ("Your pants be lookin' kinda lumpy, caught you starin' at my dumpy") didn't exactly have fans screaming for more. For example, one fan commented on YouTube: "Hearing this has motivated me to make this my alarm song that way I can wake up fast to turn it off." Another said: "Thanks to this song I can now appreciate the hard work and long hours that artists, producers, and songwriters put into their tracks to them make good. Glad to see that none of that was used here."

Yet, the views kept rolling in. As of writing, the video has nearly 550k views.

Is Amouranth Making A Rap Album?

Following the reaction to 'Down Bad', Amouranth posted a YouTube on January 25, in which she discussed the reaction to the song. As well as laughing at fans who took the song too seriously and didn't know it was a "parody", she read one her favourite comments which said: "Murder to the ears? Yes. Make an album."

She responded: "I will make an album, okay? I will do that. You know what, if [Down Bad] gets a million views [...] then I will make the second video, I will start working on it immediately. Next song. And this time I will go all out with a big budget, work with professionals, and actually make it not a satire. Actually make it good."

So, if you're keen to see Amouranth take up a new career as a rap artist then you know exactly what to do.
