Among Us has suffered a bizarre fate. The game was a cultural phenomenon, dominating every corner of the gaming market and even extending to non-gaming fans to keep interacting with their pals over the pandemic.

Since then, though, it has been memed into oblivion and dubbed a "dead game" in a salty backlash against the game. For some reason.

The game's standing in pop culture has changed for sure, but that could be about to change - as Among Us VR is on the way, and a release date may have just been leaked.

Among Us VR Release Date Leaked

Since the game was revealed at The Game Awards last year, fans have been curious as to where Among Us VR has been - but it looks like the release date has finally been revealed by a leak.

The Steam database seems to have revealed that Among Us VR has been uploaded to the system, with an API release date of November 10, 2022.

The system itself claims that it could yet be wrong, but this is the first hint at a release date that we've had for the VR version of the game yet, and fans are already fizzing with excitement

Can Among Us VR Save The Game?

It's hard to say if a VR version of Among Us can give it another squeeze in popularity - but it's safe to say that Twitch is going to seriously eat it up.

When the Among Us hype boom was still vibrant, Twitch streamers would find off-shoot versions of the game adapted for VR, so there's every chance that an official version could bring the game back to the forefront.

Whether it becomes a cultural phenomenon again or not remains up in the air - but either way, a VR version of Among Us sounds like incredible fun, and we can't wait to stand there and watch as our pals are ejected for real.
