Official Among Us Costume Is This Year’s Halloween Hit

Among Us has had a vice grip on meme culture for some time now. Few online gags go far without being somehow tied into the indie hit - and it looks like it’s about to get a lot more serious.

An official Among Us crewmate costume has been revealed, and fans are clamouring to make it their Halloween look.

A cursed new Halloween costume is finally here, as Among Us has revealed the official outfit for their crewmates is now available to purchase. There will be no more trying to crudely craft your own like this is an episode of Art Attack. 

The announcement was made in a TikTok posted to the Among Us Twitter page, showing someone running around a beach in the red variant of the costume. They then fell over and couldn't get back up, which perhaps isn’t the best way to advertise something that threatens to do the same to patrons, but hell, it got a good laugh out of us.

"Roll up into the finest establishments with our new Among Us costumes", reads the tweet. "U can grab these on Amazon, Walmart, HMV and other retailers globally! BE!! THE SPACEBEAN!!!"

They sound excited.

The costume is good for adults who are 5”9 or shorter - unless you’re cool with your legs poking out the bottom.

But, alas, there’s some sad news.

Among Us Costumes Are Sold Out On Amazon

We’re miserable. According to Among Us themselves, the costumes are currently sold out on Amazon and  were gone in minutes. "We’ll work on getting stock, but meanwhile they’re still available at some retailers like Walmart and Party City!!"

As for those of us in the UK, we’re going to have to wait for a full restock or their arrival in HMV. In the meantime, we’ll pick up one of the many ripoffs on the market right now. It won’t feel the same, though.
