The Prestige system in Modern Warfare 3 has been revamped to offer more excitement and variety. Unlike previous Call of Duty games, the level cap and the rewards change every season, giving you new challenges and cosmetics to level up.

Here’s all you need to know about the Prestige system in Modern Warfare 3, and what the rewards are for doing so.

How do you Prestige in Modern Warfare 3?

You can access the Prestige levels in Modern Warfare 3 from December 6 onwards, when Season One begins. After that, you have to level up past 55, which is also the max level cap in MW3. Once you reach the max level, you will automatically be placed into the first Prestige level. The official statement from Sledgehammer Games says the game will feature five Prestige levels in Season One. The level ranges for each Prestige level are as follows:

  • Prestige 1: Level 56 – 99
  • Prestige 2: Level 100 – 149
  • Prestige 3: Level 150 – 199
  • Prestige 4: Level 200 – 249
  • Prestige 5: Level 250+

Each season will introduce more Prestiges and levels to achieve. However, unlike preceding Call of Duty games, the Prestige levels in Modern Warfare 3 don’t reset your unlocks. Instead, it gives you new challenges to complete for each Prestige Rank.

What are the benefits of unlocking Prestige levels in Modern Warfare 3?

Prestige in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) has several benefits, primarily cosmetic and related to custom class slots. Once players enter a new Prestige level, they can unlock new cosmetic rewards such as emblems, calling cards, and animated avatars.

Additionally, players can earn additional custom class slots, which allow them to create more loadouts with different weapons, perks, and equipment. It is worth noting that Prestige does not affect gameplay or give players any significant advantage over non-prestige players.
