We got our first look at WWE 2K23 in late January when it was announced that John Cena would be the cover athlete for the game. Having just passed 20 years since his WWE debut, the big theme of this year's game is the historic career of the 16-time world champion. It seems we can expect a showcase mode featuring many of Cena's biggest matches and moments through the years.

Then in early February, an extended look at 2K23 gameplay was shown off in the Your Time Is Now gameplay trailer. This showed off many of the wrestlers appearing in the game, as well as the first inclusion of War Games in the series.

WWE 2K23 Pre-Order Bonus

It is tradition now that there be at least one extra wrestler included as a pre-order bonus in these games, and this game is no different. Although it is not his first vocation, the rapper, singer, and burgeoning actor Bad Bunny will appear in the game as a pre-order bonus character.

Bad Bunny made waves when he first entered a WWE ring at Wrestlemania a few years ago, turning in a performance far beyond what anyone expected. Since then, he has made several appearances in the ring and established himself as one of if not the best celebrity guest wrestlers WWE has ever seen.

That is everything we have on WWE 2K23 for now, including gameplay and the release date. For more info on the game as and when it comes out, stick with GGRecon.
