Nightingale was given an early access release date of February 24, 2024 during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023.

There's no word yet on a release date for the full version, but the game's Steam page says that it's predicted to be in early access for 9–12 months.

What platforms will Nightingale be on?

Currently, Nightingale is currently only announced for PC, where it will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Are there any Nightingale trailers?

There have been numerous Nightingale trailers so far, starting with the reveal trailer at The Game Awards 2021. It set up the main story of the game, along with its tone, aesthetic, and some aspects of gameplay.

The next look was a gameplay trailer during Summer Game Fest 2022, which mostly showed off pre-alpha gameplay footage, highlighting some of the major aspects of the game.

A few developer updates and smaller trailers were released throughout 2022 and 2023, but the next major trailer release came during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, with the release date trailer that finally revealed when players could jump into early access.

Nighingale is a PvE open-world, survival adventure game which leans into all the typical aspects of the genre, such as combat, resource gathering, crafting, and building. As is tradition, it can be played solo, or cooperatively in a persistent world.

It boasts a unique neo-Victorian aesthetic, which the devs are calling 'Gaslamp Fantasy', which comes with the pageantry of upper-class 19th Century fashion, with a folklore horror twist.

In Nightingale, you will play a Realmwalker, people that travel to new worlds via arcane portals. Unfortunately, a catastrophic event collapses the portal network, stranding you in the dangerous Fae realms and forcing you to survive as you find a way to the magical city of Nightingale.

One of the key features of the game is Realm Cards, craftable items that can be used to reshape the landscape of your next destination through an arcane portal. Each realm contains new dangers, discoveries, and surprises, and Realm Cards allow you to influence the design, from the number of hostiles you'll encounter to the environment itself.
