Killing Floor 3 was a surprise reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, but with the game now officially revealed, there are already some trailers, gameplay, and platform details for the upcoming zombie FPS.

Killing Floor is an iconic series in PC gaming - though it made its debut on console with the second entry - that focuses on cooperative first-person shooter gameplay, where players take on waves of zombies and biomechanical monsters - with each wave becoming more challenging and deadly.

So if you want to learn everything we know about Killing Floor 3 after its reveal, read on below for all the information.

There is currently no Killing Floor 3 release date or even a launch window, with the game's reveal trailer stating 'Coming Soon'.

We expect it won't arrive until 2024 at least due to how close the end of the year already is, and how packed the last few months are with new releases.

We'll make sure to update this section once we have new information.

What platforms will Killing Floor 3 be on?

Killing Floor 3 is confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, where it will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Killing Floor 3 announcement trailer

There is currently only one trailer for the Killing Floor 3, which was the announcement trailer from Gamescom's Opening Night Live 2023 on August 22, 2023.

The majority of the trailer is CGI, showing off a science facility that reveals how the Fleshpound enemies are made, with machines attaching the glowing core to its chest, the visor to its head, and the massive gauntlets to its arms.

From there, it cuts to what looks like an army of Fleshpounds, before jumping into gameplay that shows one breaking down a wall before jumping at the player.

What do we know about Killing Floor 3 gameplay?

We've only had a brief look at gameplay for Killing Floor 3 so far, with the announcement trailer showing off a few seconds of a character stabbing a zombie through the head, and footage of them shooting at a Fleshpound as it smashed through a wall and jumped towards them.

The game's Steam page also features a few gameplay screenshots, though it's worth noting there is no user interface to be seen, meaning they may not fully reflect how Killing Floor 3 will look upon launch.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the series so far, previous Killing Floor games were cooperative, wave-based FPS games where players would jump into matches and kill waves of monsters called Zeds, with tougher enemies spawning in on subsequent rounds, before ending with a boss on the final round.

You could purchase new weapons, armour, skills, and items between rounds by collecting money for kills and from around the environment, allowing you to become more powerful to deal with the larger number of enemies and tougher Zeds that would spawn.

The Steam page does confirm that the game is still very in the same vein as the first three, so if you are familiar with previous games, expect much of the same in Killing Floor 3.

So that's everything we know so far about Killing Floor 3 - are you excited to learn more? As more updates are revealed, we'll update our page, so check back often for more details!
