With Modern Warfare 3 here, some players will need to know how to equip two primary weapons, so they can bring more firepower to multiplayer. MW3 is here after a quick development time, continuing the last entry directly for the first time in the franchise.

The zombies mode is the big news this time around, but your traditional COD multiplayer is in the game too, of course. Whether you're a veteran or new to the world of COD, learning how to equip two primary weapons is important for creating a powerful loadout.

If you want to equip two primary weapons in Modern Warfare 3, you'll need to use the Gunner or Overkill Vests in your loadout.

Just select 'Weapons' from the multiplayer menu, pick a custom loadout, and equip either of the vests in the relevant slot. From there, you can freely pick an additional primary weapon for your secondary slot.

The Gunner Vest is the easiest method, as it can be unlocked once you reach level 20, whilst the Overkill Vest doesn't become available until much later at level 50.

Both vests also have additional benefits, with the Gunner offering increased reload speed and max ammo during deployments, and the Overkill offering increased weapon swap speed and the ability to reload while sprinting.

This means the vest you should use for equipping two primary weapons is dependent on your playstyle and the extra buffs you want for your character. I personally prefer the Overkill Vest, as the added mobility is perfect for those who like to run and gun, and hate sitting idle for too long.

That's our coverage of how to equip two primary weapons in MW3 multiplayer, and now you can rule the battlefield with more firepower.
