Magic: The Gathering Modern Horizons 3 release date, cards, mechanics & Commander Decks
Fans of the Modern format in Magic: The Gathering will be happy as the Modern Horizons 3 set is on its way in 2024, with new and returning cards, mechanics, and Commander Decks.
The booster set contains a tonne of old and new cards for players to enjoy, along with new art styles and more to build your collection with. Check out everything we know below.
Magic: The Gathering Modern Horizons 3 release date
Players will get to start playing Modern Horizons 3 on June 14, 2024, which is shortly after the Outlaws of Thunder Junction expansion.
You can also begin collecting the cards from this set on MTG Arena from June 11.

While we don't know how many new cards will be introduced in this set, we do know it contains 303 cards in total. This includes the following, which have been revealed:

Modern Horizons 3 mechanics
There will be brand-new transforming double-faced cards to collect in the Modern Horizons 3 set. Energy and colorless mana cost mechanics are also back.
