Bloomburrow is set to be one of the big expansions for Magic: The Gathering in 2024, taking players to a world of anthropomorphic animals where no humans dwell. 

Squirrels, frogs, mice, rabbits, and more are the champions here, and they must band together to fight calamity beasts and the Great Night Owl as Bloomburrow kicks off the Dragonstorm Arc storyline.

What is the Magic: The Gathering Bloomburrow release date?

The Bloomburrow expansion for Magic: The Gathering is set for an August 2, 2024 release date. It's currently the latest confirmed expansion for the year, meaning it may be the one to see out 2024.

Information on the cards in this expansion is currently sparse, but we know of a few thanks to the official announcement. These are:

  • Mabel, Heir to Cragflame
  • Cragflame
  • Lumra, Bellow of the Woods
  • Mountain

We can also confirm there will be a total of 281 cards in this expansion with traditional foil versions of all cards.

Magic: The Gathering Bloomburrow mechanics

A confirmed mechanic for the Blomburrow expansion is called Offspring, but we currently don't know details about it.
