To upgrade your weapons and abilities in Ghostrunner 2, you'll have to use the GR Augmentation unit at the hub before each level. The unit is located in a room at the left when you enter the hub.

Simply approach the unit, and you'll have the option to unlock various upgrades. These include upgrades for your sword, traversal, and ultimates as well. To unlock certain upgrades for your weapons and abilities, you'll need to collect data.

Data can be collected by taking out enemies, especially when doing proper combos. The more enemies you take out, the more data you'll get. Proper counters and parries will also give you data much faster.

After you've unlocked an upgrade, you'll need to go to the motherboard section of the upgrades menu and drag them across to the memory slots. You can find the Upgrades menu by pressing Tab/Touchpad.

Memory slots determine how many upgrades you can carry at a time. More memory slots can be unlocked by collecting memory shards. These shards are purple-colored and are found throughout the various levels in the game. They're sometimes found easily but sometimes they're hidden away.

So, whenever you spot one, try to get these shards, as these will let you carry a lot of upgrades. You can return to any area to collect the memory shards you forgot to pick up.

So, that's everything you need to know about the upgrading process in Ghostrunner 2. Check out our review of this fast-paced game while you are here, and also check out how to defeat the mighty Avatar boss right here on GGRecon.
