How To Join And Win Versus Battles In Fortnite

Fortnite Versus Battles are a fresh addition to the Island. To collect the Two-Star Dragon Ball and prove our worth to the Saiyans, Fortnite players must engage in a new in-game activity called Versus Battles. So, if you want to join and win Versus Battles in Fortnite, here's everything you need to know.

What Is A Fortnite Versus Battle?

A Fortnite Versus Battle is an in-game 1v1 between two volunteers to determine who's the strongest. When a Versus Battle begins, both participants are notified of each other's general position. A Versus Battle ends when a victor is crowned or if five minutes have passed and neither player falls.

Versus Battles work similarly to Bounties, except in a Versus Battle, both players opt-in, and the playing field is level.

How To Join A Versus Battle In Fortnite

Versus Battles don't just begin out of nowhere, you have to sign up! To join a Versus Battle, approach one of the many Versus Boards situated around the Island. For the time being, Versus Boards have replaced the Fortnite Bounty Board locations, so stop by your favourite Bounty Board spot to register for a Versus Battle.

With a Versus Board in front of you, interact with it to open up a menu. Next, select the option on the right depicted by a Thumbs Up symbol to volunteer to be a Versus Battle competitor.

After opting into a Versus Battle, turn your attention to the top-left corner of the screen to see your opponent's name and how much time remains in your Versus Battle. Additionally, you can view your map to see where your adversary currently resides. Sometimes, you might have to wait for an opposing player to volunteer for a Versus Battle before you get matched up with a rival to take on.

To win a Versus Battle in Fortnite, you need to eliminate the enemy player before time runs out, or before they eliminate you first! To get an edge, make sure to loot up and max out your shields prior to signing up for a Versus Battle.

Use your knowledge of the opponent's position to your advantage. Does it look like they're hiding out in one spot and not moving? Be cautious in your approach, and flush them out with some grenades. Alternatively, if you see your Versus Battle matchup speeding toward your location, consider posting up, playing defensively, and waiting for them to make a mistake. But remember, the Versus Battle will be void if neither you nor your foe perishes before time expires.

Sort of like with Bounties, you automatically win the Versus Battle if your opponent dies at any point during the battle, even if it's at someone else's hands. So, there's always the chance you get lucky, and someone poaches the enemy player for you, thus crowning you the Versus Battle champ.

Joining and winning Versus Battles in Fortnite will put you well on your way to raising your Power Level, collecting the Two-Star Dragon Ball, and unlocking the Shenron Glider.
