Are you wondering how and where to destroy different types of Fortnite cactus plants? Week 8's Seasonal quests are live and that means a new batch of challenges for Fortnite players to take on. However, these quests aren't always clear, as we can see with the challenge to destroy different types of Fortnite cactus plants. Here's what you need to know about how to do exactly that.

Cactus plants are a special type of Fortnite vegetation native to the desert biome. There are three common variants of the Fortnite cactus plant:

  1. The classic saguaro tree-like cactus
  2. A blue-green cactus with pink flowers atop the trunk and branches
  3. Small, circular cacti shrubs

Each of these three types of cactus plants has a distinct look that sets it apart from the other cactus plant variants.

Despite their differences in appearance, all of the Fortnite cactus plants inhabit the desert biome. You will not find cactus plants anywhere else on the map.

While cactus plants exist all across the desert biome, there are a couple of places specifically where this flora seems to thrive:

  • Chonker's Speedway
  • North-east of Haven's Oasis

Both of these locations are home to all three varieties of Fortnite cactus plants. You'll find cacti surrounding the entirety of Chonker's Speedway and there's a large grouping of all three cactus plant variants just north-east of the Haven's Oasis landmark.

One of the Week 8 Seasonal quests tasks Fortnite players with destroying three different types of cactus plants. To start, you'll need your trusty pickaxe. Head to either Chonker's Speedway or the area north-east of Haven's Oasis and keep an eye out for the different types of cactus plants. When you see a cactus plant, harvest it with your pickaxe.

When you destroy a new type of Fortnite cactus plant, you will see your progress updated on the screen. Destroy each of the three different types of cactus plants at least once to complete the quest and earn 25,000 XP toward your Season Level and Battle Pass.

Follow the steps in this guide and it should only take you a minute or two to complete this tricky Week 8 Seasonal quest. Afterwards, use any extra time to catch up on some of the Seasonal quests from previous weeks, like the ones revolving around Fortnite telescope parts and Fortnite Malfunctioning Vending Machines.
