During last year's Ubisoft Forward event, we learned about Assassin's Creed Codename Red, a new game in Assassin's Creed franchise set in Japan.
That's right, after thousands of comments on social media, Reddit, and everywhere else, we're finally getting an Assassin's Creed game in Fuedal Japan. Ubisoft Quebec studio has taken up the mantle of working on the new entry, and it looks set to be something special. Is There An Assassin's Creed Codename Red Release Date?

At the time of writing, Assassin's Creed Codename Red has no official release date. However, it must be considered that Assassin's Creed Mirage is scheduled to release in 2023. So, that means we can likely expect to see Assassin's Creed Codename Red sometime in 2024. However, until we learn more information from Ubisoft, that's all conjecture.
Regarding the console availability for Assassin's Creed Codename Red, we expect it to release only on next-gen platforms like PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. We will update this article section when there is official news on Assassin's Creed Codename Red's release date and platforms.
Assassin's Creed Codename Red Trailers
So far, we only have one thirty-second-long Assassin's Creed Codename Red reveal trailer that aired during Ubisoft Forward 2022. The trailer shows a few significant details like the return of Animus, the game's setting, and a brief cinematic look at the environment. We also catch a glimpse of our new main character wielding a Katana-like sword and hidden blade. They're dressed in an awesome-looking black Shinobi outfit.

At the moment, no gameplay details are available for Assassin's Creed Codename Red. All we know is that it is set in Feudal Japan and will feature an open-world RPG experience. That means it will likely b similar to the gameplay structure we saw with Assassin's Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
Marc-Alexis Cote, the Vice President and Executive Producer for the Assassin's Creed franchise, said that Assassin's Creed Codename Red is the "next premium flagship title" and will serve as the "future of our open-world RPG games on Assassin's Creed."
