When the leaks rain, they pour, and for poor old Call of Duty, their tap is as leaky as ever before.

Thanks to the merger of the Call of Duty HQ hub, which effectively turns each new game into a DLC for the franchise, dataminers within the community have been able to get a wealth of information about the future of the series.

With Zombies coming to Modern Warfare 3 in a rather indifferent Open-World way, dataminers are already finding some future plans for round-based game modes, and it looks like TranZit could be among many others coming soon.

TranZit is highly regarded as one of the best Zombies maps ever made, where the bus would relocate players around a huge map designed to really make players think about how to set up the game and where to end.

Since its arrival in Black Ops 2 though fans have been begging for something similar to return, or a remaster, and now dataminers have found a hint that a duplicate is on the cards.

According to the "Task Force Leakers Network", the Jet Gun has been found in the Call of Duty HQ files, and this particular weapon has only ever been available in Tranzit, given you had to build it with parts on the Green Run.

Zombies fans think Chronicles 2 could be coming to Call of Duty soon

With the Jet Gun being found within the files, presumably for Call of Duty 2024 rather than Modern Warfare 3, fans are now convinced that not only is a TranZit remaster coming into play, but a Chronicles 2 playlist is too.

Chronicles was a medley of nearly every Zombies map ever released, which came at the end of Black Ops 3, and the DLC was adored by fans who were able to revisit their favourite undead pastime places.

The playlist has long been called for to return given that we've had a wealth of new Zombies maps since then, such as Die Maschine and Der Eisendrache.

Tranzit's possible reappearance might now stoke Treyarch to release Zombies Chronicles 2 in the Gulf-War-based title next year, or it could be held to coincide with the trip down memory lane for Black Ops multiplayer fans in 2025.
