There's a new Xbox controller coming to the market, and it promises to be a 'crust' above the rest. We've seen some weird and wonderful Xboxes and peripherals, but how about a pizza-themed Xbox controller that's also pizza-scented?

Following the success of Sony's Spider-Verse movies, Paramount Pictures is capitalising on this style of animation and releasing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Well, it can't be worse than the Megan Fox-led live-action movies.

What is the Xbox pizza controller?

Not that we thought we'd ever need it, but Microsoft has just announced the world's first-ever pizza-scented controller. A blog post explains the release of the "ooze green" Xbox Wireless Controllers, with a special promo also announcing game content themed around Jeff Rowe's movie.

To celebrate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem's August 2 release date, a limited number of the controllers are up for grabs. With four of the titular turtles, there are four controllers to honour Donatella, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael.

"Designed to deliver the smell of the Turtles’ beloved meal to your game time, these exclusive Xbox Wireless Controllers come with a built-in scent diffuser shaped like a slice of delicious New York ‘za," says the description.

How can you get a slice of the Xbox pizza controller

As is typical with Microsoft's limited run of weird and wonderful Xboxes, you sadly can't buy the Mutant Mayhem controllers. Instead, a giveaway is running from July 24 to August 13. To enter, you need to follow Xbox Game Pass on Twitter (or is it X now?) and retweet the official announcement tweet.

You'll need to be over the age of 18 and live in a region that supports Xbox consoles. If you live in New York, you can check them out in person. Head to the Xbox Gaming Lounge at the Microsoft Experience Center (on Fifth Avenue) between 4 and 7 pm ET on August 2.

While we're not sure why you'd come up with the idea of a pizza-scented controller, we can't think of a better way to play Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. We have one question though, what happens when the pizza diffuser runs out of scent? Do we have to rub a slice of Pizza Hut on our controller?
