Warzone And Black Ops: Cold War Are Getting A Working Keytar Rifle
Warzone has been having fun with its weapon concepts recently. Late last year saw a new weapon with a working tape deck built into it, and a gun with working rockets on the back that would let it take off if you weren’t holding so tightly to it. The blueprints that have spread across Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War has been intriguing, to say the least, and serve as an impressive flex on your enemies. And now, a new level of interactability is coming to a new blueprint, that fits the new 80's theme of Verdansk perfectly.
New Playable Keyboard Weapon Skin Joins Warzone
The new weapon, called the Shredder Assault Rifle, is an ultra-class item that comes packed with a mini keyboard on the side that you can play by inspecting it. It comes to both Black Ops: Cold War and Warzone as part of the Music Legend Mastercraft Bundle that can be bought from the Call of Duty store for 2,400 Call of Duty Points. That comes to about £20 of 'real' money.
It comes to the game to coincide with a lot of 80s-themed items and cosmetics. Verdansk has seen lots of changes with a similar theme, as the latest game-wide update offered a revamped version of Verdansk, reimagined for its appearance in 1984. And, in an effort to compete with Fortnite’s immense success in licenced characters, the game added skins of John McClane and John Rambo from the era’s most iconic action films.
The push to take Warzone to the 80s has been a controversial one so far, with many fans demanding more content to go with the update that some have felt is too meagre. But, now with some goofy touches like the Shredder, fans might finally be content with Warzone’s Season Three offerings.
