Warzone 2 Season 4 is well underway, and as always, the community is focused on finding the strongest loadout in the current meta.
Significant nerfs to the Cronen Squall have left a lot of players confused over which gun to use, especially for long-range skirmishes.
Well, the update has led to a resurgence of the LMG category, meaning there's one particular hefty weapon that deserves your attention.
For WhosImmortal, it's one of the most 'overpowered' loadouts in the game, with top-tier damage and low recoil, making it the ultimate hard-carry choice.

In WhosImmortal's opinion, the HCR-56 "absolutely changes the meta" in Warzone 2 Season 4 and is, without a doubt, a top contender for long-range gunfights.
When it comes to the HCR's strengths, the WZ2 expert reveals that it's "low recoil," so it's extremely easy to use and doesn't slack in terms of damage output either.
Compared to the RAAL MG, the HCR is a lot more 'aggressive' and has slightly more mobility, meaning if you're a player who likes to take on skirmishes head-on, this could be the pick for you.
Overall, the loadout above aims to maximise the LMG's damage while also bolstering its recoil pattern, making it a laser beam and for WhosImmortal, the "number one setup" in Warzone 2.
How popular is the HCR-56 in Warzone 2?
According to WZRanked, the HCR-56 has a 6.1% pick rate and falls into the S-tier, so this is definitely a weapon that should be on your loadout list.
While it's certainly not being overlooked, there's a possibility this weapon could eclipse the Lachmann 556 in terms of popularity in the future, so keep your eye on it.
Either way, make sure to test out this class in your matches and see if it improves your win rate, it could be your new go-to setup.
