Never did we think we'd see a Poekmon-like creature arrive in VALORANT, but here we are. Not only has Gekko's Wingman stolen our hearts, but it's quickly become one of the most devastating abilities in the game.

Gekko arrived in VALORANT Episode 6 Act 2 as a new initiator, and having a new with a lizard-like premise, he comes with a Newt Scamander-like bag of pets in his ability pool.

With a combined four animalistic abilities, one, in particular, has stood out from the rest. Wingman is the ultimate sidekick. No, he doesn't necessarily have the best chat-up lines, but rather a juicy alternate use that sets it apart from other like-minded proficiencies.

Wingman is VALORANT's best Tactical Ability

Wingman can be rolled into action as Gekko's Q ability, and whilst Alt-Q'ing, you can equip the meddlesome maniac with the spike to either plant or defuse - depending on your side of action.

However, unlike other abilities which can act on their own accords like Killjoy's Turret Alarmbot, Wingman actually ignores all non-damage abilities and just surges through on his mission.

A viral Twitter thread has now highlighted just how good Wingman is. If we thought that the ability to manipulate the spike was good, Wingman can even eat his way through a Sage wall, Cypher trip, and other Agent abilities.

Viral Twitter thread shows how lethal Wingman is in VALORANT

The yellow-bellied beauty appears to be best friends with the enemies' abilities, or too cute to harm, which is quite fair given his chomping bounce and furry fritter.

But the thread also shows that Killjoy's Turret will refuse to shoot it, and her Lockdown ability deals no effects to it either.

Even a KAY/O knife can't stop Wingman, although Gekko's Thrash will perish to its explosion.

The only falter that Wingman can encounter is with Astra's Gravity Well, which will suck it in, but only until the ability runs out and Wingman can resume his course again. Fade's similar Seize trap doesn't affect it either.

So, not only is Wingman taking over VALORANT by being abundantly too cute to shoot and kill, you can't even stop it from reaching its goal with other abilities. I'm afraid the only way to deal with Wingman is lethality. Gekko's play on heartstrings might just make him one of the best agents in the game now.
