Greed gets us all once in a while. During the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Tokyo event, one pro player took a chance to win big and it snapped back in his face in the most unfortunate way to the great amusement of everyone watching.

In a real Spider-Man pointing at each other moment, Brazilian pro player Arthur "tuyz" Vieira gambled and lost spectacularly.

Setting the stage

Imagine you are in front of a crowd of thousands in an arena, while hundreds of thousands are watching. You are part of one of the favourite teams to win in one of the most anticipated global tournaments in your field.

Moreover, you are definitely playing an underdog that has picked up momentum during the event. It's the worst time to throw an advantage.

Suddenly, you see an opening as the opponent makes a sloppy mistake. Being greedy and trying to maximise the benefit of taking advantage of the mistake could be huge but it could also backfire, with the crowd having a laugh at your expense and confidence turning against you.

As you toy with your food, it becomes aware of you and decides to take a bite. That much happened to LOUD's tuyz who during a situation in which his team was already on the backfoot, lost in the most hilarious fashion.

What exactly happened?

With the score at 10-5 and already a map down against Evil Geniuses, tuyz sits behind a box on Ascent in A lobby, only armed with a Sheriff.

Staying quiet, Alexander "jawgemo" Mor walks past tuyz and fails to clear the angle. Tuyz presumably waits to see if more enemies are streaming into A Lobby to get even more of a surprise pinch attack on the road.

For almost 15 seconds, tuyz waits out taking the safe one-shot headshot as shoutcaster Lauren "Pansy" Scott appears to lose her mind at the audacity. "Please don't mess this up,” the casters plea repeatedly. Then Tuyz — what do you know — messed it up.

Jawgemo spins around, sees tuyz in the corner, and quickly wins the firefight through superior firepower. To add insult to injury, LOUD would not get another round on the board after this grave mistake and also lost the second map, handing Evil Geniuses the upset on a silver platter.

As a result, favourite LOUD is now sitting in the lower bracket final against another scary underdog as they will be playing EDG on Sunday, 7am BST.
