The future of VALORANT is about to arrive, and yet, fans are pretty focused on what they have right now. Episode 7 has launched to fanfare everywhere, as players enjoy just what they've always loved in the title - but as VALORANT threatens a console launch, fans are concerned.

Fans think Riot Games' shooter could become heavily diluted by players that don't grasp its nuance or controls. Before we can even get there, there's a problem as old as time still wreaking havoc in VALORANT, and we've had just about enough.

Cheaters are still ruining the fun in VALORANT

Though cheaters have been present for some time in VALORANT, their appearance is reaching a fever pitch, as players express their frustrations at hackers in the game being worse than ever.

A new thread has appeared in the VALORANT subreddit from Sad-Prize3891 - serving as a marker of the cheating problem being truly worse than it has ever been. Worryingly, the OP claims it's worse than Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at the height of its own problems in 2018.

"I made a post a few months back talking about cheaters in VALORANT but at this point, it's becoming a joke," the post reads. "OCE servers are just full of trigger botters that last multiple acts without getting banned it's actually terrible.

People are rage-cheating in radiant elo for several games with public providers and needing to get manual'd by a riot dev to stop them. Cheating is so common in VALORANT now I almost mistake this game as 2018 CS:GO."

Fans react to post blasting VALORANT cheaters

It seems that frustrations aren't locked to just one user. Other have jumped into the comments to express similar frustrations. Perhaps Riot can take a leaf out of PUBG's books by using AI to track down rogue cheaters.

"The cheating has definitely been getting out of hand," says one comment. "Feels like they have been piling on reports for the last 8 months waiting to do a mass ban but they just keep letting these kids play."

"What's crazy is that most cheaters (mostly aimbot) don't even hide," says another. "Their cheats are usually pretty bad though cause they play like bots, don't know how to counter strafe, clear angles, etc, they have like zero game sense and awareness."

Who knows if there's more that can be done about cheaters in the game that hasn't already seen an attempt from Riot Games, but they definitely need to do something. After all, we can't welcome console players to a pool of cheaters, right?
