Anybody who has set foot in the Modern Warfare 3 Ranked playlist will understand just how annoying Terminal is. The map, constantly ridiculed for its predictable and linear gameplay, appears on a regular basis, much more frequently than any other map in the playlist.

Oh, and that Skidrow Hardpoint is up there too, with the almost-unbreakable P2.

Having already seen its Hardpoint gameplay be removed though, in favour of Rio, Terminal's head has joined Skidrow on the chopping block.

As of the start of the Call of Duty League Major III qualifiers, one week after Season 3 ensued, Terminal and Skidrow in their only respective modes left are being removed from the professional map pool.

This will be then echoed into the MW3 Ranked pool too, which closely follows that of the CDL.

The maps will be removed on April 10, as will Invasion Hardpoint too, although the sandstone-looking map will persist in its other two game modes (Control and Search and Destroy).

These removals come with consolation though...

6 Star and Vista make MW3 Ranked entrances

As these two hated maps are removed, the two newest additions to Modern Warfare 3 in 6 Star and Vista will both be added.

6 Star will be playable for both Hardpoint and Search and Destroy, while Vista will only be played on Hardpoint.

"Thanks again to everyone who participated in the previous Map Evaluation! Your participation, feedback, and player data helped shape this update," said the Call of Duty League on Twitter, as the map trail proved pivotal in getting Vista over the line.

The only grey area left is the WSP Swarm, which continues to divide opinions in the CDL, with many hoping for it to be banned, while others are begging for it to become a meta option.
