The North American esports organisation Cloud9 has picked up its first all-women team. As Cloud9 White, the squad formerly known as Team MAJKL is the third roster VALORANT that Cloud9 has signed next to its sister teams Cloud9 Blue (North America) and Cloud9 KR (South Korea). The team consists of Alexis "alexis" Guarrasi, Annie "Annie" Roberts, Jasmie "Jazzyk1ns" Manankil, Melanie "meL" Capone, and "katsumi".

Formerly known as Team MAJKL, the team had won the FTW Summer Showdown Ignition Series tournament in impressive fashion, not dropping a single map while also winning most of them by a wide margin, winning the $25,000 (~£19,000) prize pool with relative ease. The team had first formed in mid-June and had stuck together with all its members since then.

Fans cheered on the pickup and the rollout of the announcement, sharing their support for the team. The team is expected to play in the qualifier for Riot Games' upcoming First Strike tournament starting tonight, though the specifics of the bracket and whether or not games will be streamed are currently unknown.
