All eyes have turned to Sucker Punch Productions over the last couple of weeks. The studio has created a wild collection of games, starting with the iconic platformer Sly Cooper before moving to the open-world karmic adventure of Infamous. Then, it moved to its most impressive work to date with the huge and expansive Ghost of Tsushima.

But, rather than looking forwards to the future of its current baby, fans have been wondering if we can expect a continuation or remake of the studio's earlier works - but Sucker Punch has had to come forward to confirm this isn't the case.

Are New Sly Cooper And Infamous Games Coming?

As rumours have begun to circle and claim we could be getting a remake or remaster of both the Sly Cooper and Infamous series' early entries, Sucker Punch has now stepped in to deconfirm them.

In a new blog post on its site, the team has had to assure fans that its focus remains on its current project and that Sucker Punch isn't actively developing anything from its past.

"As our games continue to grow in scale and complexity, they require the full attention of our studio," it reads. "With our focus on our current project, we have no plans to revisit Infamous or Sly Cooper right now, and no other studio is currently working on projects related to those franchises either." Sob. But, this does indicate something bigger.

Is Ghost Of Tsushima 2 On The Way?

While this doesn't completely confirm that the team is working on a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, the fact that its new project is so intensive that it requires the whole team on board implies that it's pretty massive. And the long-rumoured, heavily expected Ghost of Tsushima sequel could fit that bill.

We don't know for certain, but we know. Gamers are just waiting on the confirmation from Sucker Punch, which could be years away yet. We'll have to wait and see - but it's still a shame that Cole and Sly are still sitting dormant. Maybe someday, eh?
