It seems like big buyouts have been ruling the gaming industry for the last year or so, and frankly, it's getting hard to keep up. It seems impossible to follow - after all, why would Xbox buy Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion when they can just buy Modern Warfare 2 in Tesco for £60? They can't have thought that through.

Regardless, the industry is under the thumbs of the highest bidders right now, and even though the big dogs are on the headlines, there are absolutely whopping buyouts that have flown under the radar, and one of those companies is about to take a massive step.

Stumble Guys is coming to Xbox

The Takeshi's Castle-alike genre seemed to be captured effortlessly with Fall Guys, but now it looks as though a new competitor is stepping onto consoles, as Stumble Guys has been revealed to be coming to Xbox.

The game, developed by Kitka Games, was recently purchased by Scopely Games and is making its very first appearance on console after its successes as a mobile title. The game has been revealed to be landing on Xbox during today's ID@Xbox Showcase, with its Hot Wheels, Nerf and Rabbids collaborations in tow.

The game will also have full cross-play enabled, so you won't be missing out on the massive player base of Stumble Guys and waiting forever for a game.

Do we know when Stumble Guys will land on Xbox?

There aren't any details on when the port will launch just yet, but if you want to stay ahead of the curve, you can pre-register and make yourself eligible for some free welcome gifts in the process right now. The game will be coming to the Series X|S and Xbox One, too, so you won't be missing out on prior hardware.

Though it may not seem like it on the surface, this is a pretty big deal - and there's a chance it could spread to other consoles too. The dominion of Stumble Guys continues.
