Statistics Show Which Country Is Home To The Best CS:GO Players
If you're looking to move countries and start a successful career in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), we've got the stats on where in the world the best players are. Since CS:GO's release back in 2012, the first-person shooter has risen to prominence as one of the most popular esports titles out there.
Despite a number of major players like Nick "nitr0" Cannella leaving CS:GO behind in favour of VALORANT, there's still a loyal fanbase and plenty of big names throwing their support behind Valve's beloved game. As the likes of Vitality, Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, and Astralis continue to dominate the big leagues, it might surprise you where the best players come from.
A new Tweet has started doing the rounds and tips Denmark as the place to go for CS:GO players. The numbers were crunched by FACEIT - an external platform that is used by the best of the best. The figures were calculated by the number of players per million that are at FACEIT's highest level (10). If you're ready, the winner is...Denmark.
According to the statistics, Denmark has 711 Level 10 players per million. This is followed by Estonia with 689, Finland with 598, Sweden with 498, and Latvia rounds off the top five at 378. The rest of the list includes Norway, Lithuania, Portugal, Poland, and Slovakia. Are there any major surprises though?
Denmark has always had a strong hold on CS:GO with Astralis and North, however, did anyone think the country would really come out on top? It's also interesting to note neither Germany or France feature in the Top 10, despite BIG and Team Vitality being right at the top of the rankings right now.
Still, is it really that surprising given the superstar success of Denmark? According to esportsearnings.com, Denmark has earned an eye-watering $14,942,840 off 465 players. Looking at figures closer, Astralis has contributed $8,216,919 from 88 tournaments. This puts Denmark streaks ahead of the USA's $11,247,199 (from 1929 players) or Team Liquid (from Holland) with $4,572,925 off 131 tournaments.
Now could be the right time to pack your CS:GO bags and head off to Denmark to get some tips and tricks form dev1ce, dupreeh, and all the rest.
