Sometimes, the Call of Duty skill mechanic known as snaking is quite unavoidable. Sometimes you have to bob down to get under cover to reload or regain health. Sometimes you even need to take it to ego-challenge and catch an advancing player off guard.

But, snaking is being abused, and at the highest level of competition, it’s ruining the integrity - especially in Search and Destroy.

Now, after some prime bobbing "form" in a high-stakes CDL match, Scump and Methodz have claimed that its over-usage is a "f**king disgrace."

Modern Warfare snaking

The Call of Duty League is as tight as it's ever been. With the race for the top eight reaching its climax, Florida Mutineers are looking to pull off a miracle run to reach Champs, while Boston Breach is also trying to secure their place in the pinnacle event by fending off the underdogs.

However, in the latest bout between the two, Boston was found to be repeatedly snaking, and on one occasion, both Joe "Owakening" Conley and Reece "Vivid" Drost were in "fine form," which has now been slammed by two onlooking legends.

Live on their watch party, Seth "Scump" Abner and Anthony "Methodz" Zinni labelled it 2"a f**king disgrace".

"There's nothing he can do here. This is ridiculous. Yeah show me that form. Goodness gracious. What a f**king disgrace. That I don't agree with. As players who have grown up in the golden era, that's a f**king disgrace," the pair said.

Snaking is 'a disgrace' in Modern Warfare 2, claim CoD Legends

It's not the first time Florida Mutineers have been involved in a snake-off either, although last time, they were the instigators. Previously, they were blasted by James "Clayster" Eubanks for over-using the mechanic.

But, the onus does like with the developers, who Clayster directed his rant at, for not removing such movement. Games like XDefiant have already merged their movement to avoid snaking, but it seems Call of Duty has no intention of penalizing the crouch-to-tac-sprint repetition.

Hopefully, with Sledgehammer Games being in full control of Modern Warfare 3, multiplayer, Snaking will soon be a thing of the past, although who knows what movement mechanic will get broken next...
