Twitch streamers around the world will be more than familiar with the struggles of avoiding DMCA strikes. Previously, a wave of popular streamers have been forced to delete years of content due to the copyright laws enforced by the DMCA, including Rocket League's own Mariano "SquishyMuffinz" Arruda.

The laws which block the playback of music, films, and other licensable content have cost streamers many years of videos, and even resulted in large scale bans on Twitch.

However, in a bid to fight against the DMCA strikes and band together with their content creators, Rocket League is now set to roll out a brand-new feature that will remove copyright-protected music from their default pool as part of a loaded Season 4 update.

Rocket League Season 4 Copyright-Free Music

Taking to a blog post, Psyonix confirmed that "a new Audio Setting is being added so players can turn off copyright-protected music. This will help prevent content creators from having their streams or videos delisted due to DMCA violations."

Rocket League has a range of music that could land their streamers in hot water, including loading screen tunes and even records that spin after a goal explosion. With this 'Streamer Safe Music' feature, all DMCA protected music will be muted or automatically replaced with something that is copyright free.

Recently, Alejandra "Athena" became the first content creator to release in-game music for Rocket League, in a collaboration with "smle". Alongside the 'Athena Bundle', their hit "Eternal" can now be heard in-game, and makes for good listening when 'Athena flicking' the ball over the bar.

Rocket League Season 4 features: Outlaw Car, Expanded Tournaments, Deadeye Canyon

Alongside the 'Streamer Safe Music' feature, Rocket League Season 4 is set to add some brand-new content to the mix, something that fans have been yearning for.

The Outlaw car body will be arriving through the Rocket Pass, whilst a range of wild-west cosmetics will be added, as Rocket League prepares for a road trip with the cowboys.

Preparing for a Mexican standoff in the desert, Rocket League Season 4 will also add the Deadeye Canyon. As a dusty mixture between Sandy Shores and Wasteland, the arena will play host to a new LTM, named 'Speed Demon'.

The new season is set to launch on August 11, where Season 3 competitive rewards will also be dished out.
