Having recently rolled out one of their most ambitious agents to date, Riot Games have confirmed that VALORANT Episode 4, Act II, will have no new agent or map, as they turn their attention to balancing the game in its current state before mixing up the pack once again.

The arrival of Neon in VALORANT has sparked life into the title once again, as the electrifying olive-skinned duelist has attempted to overthrow the queen of combat, Jett. Despite not quite undermining the silver-haired swordess, Neon's kit has been a breath of fresh air and has allowed for both agents to work in harmony to open up new team composition based on bursting onto sites in gung-ho fashion.

However, it appears that players will have much longer than usual to get used to the new style, as Riot Games has confirmed that no new agents will be landing in the next act.

VALORANT Devs Confirm No New Agent In Act 2

Taking to a new edition of the Dev Diaries - a YouTube series in which the developers discuss their reasoning behind changes to VALORANT and inform viewers of what is next to come - VALORANT’s Executive Producer Anna "SuperCakes" Donlon explained that no new agents or maps will be coming in Episode 4, Act II.

Expected to be rolled out before the end of March, SuperCakes revealed that the new Act will focus on balancing the game, reworking some existing agents, and dealing with the overall experience by combating smurfs and in-game toxicity.

VALORANT Episode Act II Features

"Our goal this year is to keep our amazing player community, that’s you, engaged with content, new feature and continued support," SuperCakes said in the Dev Diaries episode. Instead, she revealed that the Riot Games team will be looking at balancing agents such as Yoru - who has been anticipating a major overhaul since his arrival.

Additionally, the dev team are looking towards the Ranked experience and how they can combat AFK players and smurf accounts to ensure that the wider player base can enjoy their competitive games.

A new agent is expected with Act III, although we will be edging towards July by the time we see a spring chick born.
