Riot Games has announced a brand-new VALORANT series for UK, Ireland, and Nordic-based players with a €10,000 prize pool, in a bid to bridge the gap between the professional scene and high-ranked players.

In association with Promod Esports, the regional VALORANT series will boast two splits throughout the year, with multiple events being held online and in-person thanks to third-party tournament organisers such as The GooseHouse, LeaguesGG, DreamHack, and EPIC36, as players will look to gain experience in a competitive format on all fronts.

The VALORANT Beacon Series will act as a fourth-tier competition and will be topped off with a Circuit Finals in August.

Will Attwood, Northern European Competitive Experience Manager at Riot Games said, "We are delighted to be working with Promod Esports in launching Beacon, which will offer new and exciting opportunities for competitive VALORANT players in the community within Northern Europe. We look forward to welcoming new players to VALORANT esports!"

The regional events will target those players who find themselves fuelled with a competitive fire but are currently struggling to make a reputation on the simple ranked ladder. Instead, players will now be able to take their five-stack and head into events around Northern Europe to see if they've got what it takes to become a professional VALORANT player.

During Split 1, The GooseHouse (a VALORANT community clan) and esports gaming platform LeaguesGG will host respective online tournaments throughout June, where teams can begin to earn circuit points, which will accrue to positions at the Circuit Finals. Live events will also be hosted by DreamHack Summer and EPIC36, where those able to attend can continue to earn circuit points.

The first Circuit Finals will take place between August 17 and 20, with a €10,000 prize pool to be shared throughout all three divisions of play.

Rob Black, CEO at Promod Esports said, "the start of a player's journey in esports begins with small communities competing with each other and this is still a vital part of esports. We're proud to be working with Riot Games to create and manage that stepping stone for players in Northern Europe, while at the same time being able to work with fantastic communities and existing competitions to give players many possible routes to becoming the next superstar."

If you think you've got what it takes to move from Ranked to launch a career as a professional player based in the UK, Ireland or Nordics, now is your chance to prove your worth.
