Riot Games
Riot Games has announced the winners of its VALORANT EMEA awards, honouring all kinds of contributors to its scene, including players, creators, organisers, and more.
Winners were selected by the broadcast talent, community vote, and Riot employees in various award categories. The awards once again highlighted the winners of the region's most prestigious tournaments.
The winners
In the category Game Changers Rising Stars and Graduates, an award that highlights the best up-and-coming and established competitors within the Game Changers EMEA circuit, the following individuals took the dub:
Game Changers - Rising stars
- Aleyna "Vania" Keskin (BBL Queens)
- Yağmur "Smurfette" Gündüz (FUT Female)
- Michaela "mimi" Lintrup (G2 Gozen)
Game Changers - Graduates
- Lidia "Didii" del Moral de la Torre (Rebels Velvet)
- Paula Blanco "Devilasxa" Martínez (Rebels Velvet)
- Minh "Thu" Pham (Unicorns of Love)
Challengers - Rising stars
This category honours players from the Challengers series that came out of nowhere and made a huge splash, or in other words, players you should keep your eye on for next season.
- Georgio "Keiko" Sanassy (Team Liquid)
- Benjy "benjyfishy" Fish (Team Heretics)
- Mert "Wo0t" Alkan (Team Heretics)
Best Community Watch Party
While the regional VALORANT scene in EMEA is still growing, some organisations found success with local events, such as the winners of this award - Fnatic for their LOCK//IN party at its former HQ in Shoreditch, London on March 4, 2023. All the sweeter to have won the event, too.
Cosplayer
The German cosplayer and streamer Leslie "Farbenfuchs" Förtsch. The official announcement highlighted her cosplay of VALORANT agent Killjoy.
Entertainer
The award for EMEA player and content creator of the year went to Jakub "Kuba" Dogan for his contributions across his multiple social media channels.
Breakthrough Creator
Winner Hellian is an interesting choice for the Breakthrough award. After all, his YouTube channel was already accruing millions of views three years ago. Be that as it may, the Turkish community can't get enough of him.
Grassroots Rising Stars
Moreover, the awards also recognised up-and-coming players you should watch out for in 2024 and onward.
- Christina "Chrissy" Krasnov
- Dağhan "Da1mon" Eryılmaz
- Nicole "Ginger" Rott
- Khalid ‘"Aimhunter" Mohammed
- Francesca "Juptears" Di Carlo
The VALORANT Champions Tour is currently entering its off-season with various third-party events all over the globe, bridging the gap to the new season. The first Masters event for 2024 is announced in March and will take place in Madrid, Spain. Perhaps some of these award winners will make it there?
