This article contains massive spoilers for the original Resident Evil 4, as well as potentially big spoilers for its remake, too. Abandon all hype ye who enter here. Is anyone else surprised to know that Resident Evil 4 is coming out next month, or is it just us?

The long-awaited remake has really crept up on us, and after the delights that lay in store for the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes (no matter how short the third game was), it's safe to say that we're in for a treat with the series' return of Leon S. Kennedy.

It might be the first time some are taking the classic game for a spin, and if you ask us, that could never be a bad thing. Its story is led by a cast of strong characters and stands out as one of the best horror games of all time. But, one easter egg has hinted that someone might not make it out of rural Spain alive.

Luis Might Be Saved In Resident Evil 4

If you've played the original 2005 GameCube game, the end of Chapter 3 Part 3 of Resident Evil 4 sees the depressing death of everyone's favourite cop companion, Luis Sera.

Even though Luis is famously impaled by a giant tentacle from the villainous Osmund Saddler, the latest Resident Evil 4 remake trailer saves him... and then potentially kills him off again.

Thanks to the eagle eyes of PCGamesN, fans have spotted that Luis actually appears in the back of a minecart in one of the game's later sections. This should be impossible, considering it comes after Luis' original death.

We did it, we got him back. Actually, it might not be that simple after all because it looks like Luis is still doomed to an early grave.

Luis Might Still Die In Resident Evil 4

It seems the bliss of having Luis might not last for long, as another sequence from the trailer hints at his death. There's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene where we glimpse a worried Leon before Jack Krauser jumps down to surprise him.

The site notes how there seems to be a corpse on the floor at the bottom of the frame - and it looks to be Luis with a knife in his back.

We don't know for sure that it's Luis, and we won't until we play the game on March 24. Either way, it's not looking good for our mate Luis. Sorry to bear such bad news.
