Cheating in any game is a big no for most of us, however, there's no escaping the fact it's a major problem in most modern titles. It's especially big in the likes of FortnitePlayUnknown's BattlegroundCall of Duty: Warzone, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). Even the brand new Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been plagued by cheaters, but now, one programmer is taking it upon themselves to stop Counter-Strike cheaters in their tracks.

The Valve Anti-Cheat System has taken some flak for not working quite like it should, meaning plenty of hackers are slipping through the net. For the times VAC isn't there when it needs to be, we've thankfully got ScriptKid on hand to dole out some swift justice with their cheat codes.

Cheaters will often spend hundreds of dollars on hacks, just to give them an advantage over us honest players. Keen to see their bait cheats work, ScriptKid apparently spent $600 to promote them on Google ads. It must've worked. because unsuspecting cheats were lured into this devastating trap. Highlights include "Burning Man" (where grenades are thrown directly down), "NoSpray4U" (with a 50% chance weapons will be dropped when spraying), and DoYouEvenAimBro (effectively the opposite of an aimbot).

The full list of CS:GO bait cheats includes:

  • BurningMan: Throw grenades straight down + unbind movement keys for a few seconds.
  • NoPlantOrDefuse: Cancel plant and defuse in the last second + play fake sounds to confuse them.
  • BigSpender: Waste money by buying bad weapons.
  • NoSpray4U: 50% chance to drop weapons when spraying.
  • InvertMouseADS: Invert Mouse while aiming down scope.
  • ViolentSpeedMomentum: 100 sensitivity and jumping for a few seconds.
  • ButterFingers: Drop weapon every time they try to shoot.
  • DoYouEvenAimBro: Opposite of an Aimbot. The player’s crosshair moved away from the target in the later stages of the match.
  • BloodBrothers: Automatically fire weapon when cheater’s crosshair moves over allies.

ScriptKid doesn't just limit himself to CS:GO though. He's also known for taking his wrath out on PUBG cheaters. We've seen a great hack where cheaters are launched out of their car seats when a PUBG vehicle goes over 85 km/h. The biggest kicker with all of ScriptKid's bait cheats is that players are forcibly banned AND rightfully humiliated in front of a baying crowd.

With more and more fans calling for Valve to do something about cheaters and hackers running rampant in CS:GO, the company has tried to restrict how third-party software interacts with the game. Safe to say, there have been mixed results. Even if it is a bit mean, bait cheats have provided some hilarious results.

There are complaints that ScriptKid's methods are technically unethical because he used ads that may have nabbed players who wouldn't normally cheat. Either way, there's a clear message here that cheater's never prosper.
