PlayStation Plus subscribers have had more complaints than compliments for the service recently, and after the current monthly free games seem to have fallen short, players seem to be cancelling their subscriptions for good.

PlayStation Plus subscribers have been saying that they will cancel their subscriptions in protest for a while now, however it appears that the latest batch of games have pushed some people to their limit.

PlayStation Plus subscribers have given up on the service

Recently, social media platforms and forums have seen plenty of complaints about PlayStation Plus, particularly regarding the games it is losing, the lack of day one releases and questioning the value for money.

This has only been made worse by the recent increase in price to the service, rising from £49.99 to £59.99 for the base plan.

As reported by GamingBible, one Reddit user shared in a now removed post that they had cancelled their subscription, alongside a screenshot as proof.

The post, which was quickly deleted by moderators on the subreddit, said it had “taken them awhile to bite the bullet” but they’ve finally “bit through it” and done what they think is necessary, though they had a “good run”.

This is not the only post which has touched on people’s disappointment in the service however.

A similar tweet stated: “Pulling the plug on my Playstation Plus subscription. Haven't cared about a single game in over a year, and they raised the price too. Good riddance.”

As well as this, while not as explicitly against the subscription service, one post asked what people would change about the more expensive tier to make it more worthwhile.

Several commenters touched on how they do not feel like the high price is worth it, especially given the decreasing number of large titles.

One Reddit user commented: “Drop the price or better games. No inbetween.”

Another said: “Day one Sony titles is the only thing that would make the tier worthwhile in my opinion.”
