Despite not yet being released, Lifeweaver has made some huge splashes in Overwatch 2 already.

The pansexual hero is set to be released on April 11, but fans have already started worrying about his "troll" ability set - even if the developers have tried to downplay it and accept any responsibility if this becomes too big of a problem.

His appearance has also caused a stir, with fans arguing whether his level of sex appeal marries up the hype that it was given... oh guys.

Now though, Lifeweacer's non-troll abilities are now being scrutinised, as one viral thread points out this his healing ability "is the worst in the game".

Lifeweaver's healing ability scrutinised before release

To activate Lifeweaver's healing, players must charge the ability up, which causes the hero to slow down. Once the charge is fully maxed-out, Lifeweaver can then heal up to 65 health on targets with a splash effect.

"This healing is garbage. It's legitimately f*****g useless. It takes two seconds, maybe more, to hit them with one 65-healing burst. It's awful. It's probably the worst healing in the game," said popular Overwatch content creator "Flats".

"I say that because Lucio's healing is more passive, he continued. "Mercy's is better because if you get below half-health it doubles [that 45 base rate] so it has a much higher potential, and you can flip it between damages which is what Mercy is using the most, and Mercy has better effective healing, she can save people. Lifeweaver can't save people."

Overwatch 2 fans are convinced Lifeweaver buffs will be imminent

It's not just the abilities lack of healing, it's also the movement stalling that also makes Lifeweaver quite the easy target. Fans have already noticed that his massive hitbox, combined with a movement delay whilst healing, will make him easy pickings for snipers on the map.

"The fact you have to charge it and it slows you down…yeah that’s getting buffed at some point," said one fan. "He’s going to be my number-one target as a flanker. I can kill him, get healing from his death, and then engage with other people," another added.

Of course, Lifeweaver will be thoroughly assessed when he's finally released, but it's not looking great for a hero with such high expectations.
