OG MW2 AR has the potential to be a monster in Warzone's Rebirth Island
Season 3 of Warzone Season 3 is on the cusp of release and while the major patch is bringing a huge amount of fresh content, it's the return to Rebirth Island that's on the mind of every CoD player.
Deciding which weapon to take with you onto the OG map is key, and while you could run a typical MW3 meta gun, WhosImmortal suggests you take a trip down memory lane.
The majority of MW2 guns are borderline useless, but one AR is still a meta contender and may be an underrated option for dominating Rebirth.
Equipped with "super low recoil" and a competitive TTK, it's a monster at both mid and long-range, making it perfect for the Season 3 patch.

The STB 556 needs to be on your loadout list for Rebirth Island, as it's actually "right in the mix with some of the main MW3 rifles" in terms of TTK and accuracy, according to WhosImmortal.
As an MW2 gun, it's been forgotten by the wider Warzone community, but Season 3 could be the chance for the underused STB to finally get some attention.
One of its biggest strengths is the gun's "super low recoil," which makes landing shots from afar extremely easy. It also provides brilliant damage output, making it a versatile weapon in most gunfights.
Finally, the STB 556 has the potential to be "really effective on Rebirth...especially as an aggressive mid- to long-range option." Everyone is going to be experimenting on the new map, so don't miss out on the opportunity to use an immensely powerful off-meta gun.
How popular is the STB 556 in Warzone?

On the surface, this appears to be criminally low and pretty underwhelming, that's until you realise it's the most popular MW2 gun in the arsenal.
The closest OG contender is the Kastov 545 at 0.9%, so the STB 556 is still holding its own when it comes to Modern Warfare 2, but that's not saying much.
It's always fun to use an old-school weapon, and in this example, it may actually be a sleeper option heading into Rebirth, so make the most of it.
