Finishing moves in Call of Duty: Warzone are an absolute flex, or humiliation, depending on which side of the move you're on. There are fewer things to do in the game that give you less satisfaction than juking your opponent so hard that you can execute them with an in-game cut-scene. However, imagine if you two-stepped slide-cancelled your foe out of their socks just for your finishing move to randomly fail mid-shot, and you've already left the room telling your mum you've won another game of Warzone. "Well done, son".

Well, that might just be the case if you're running a certain character in Warzone nowadays.

After getting to grips with Fortune's Keep and its every nook and cranny, some players have found that their parkour mastering is coming to no avail, as a finishing move glitch is making them useless.

Warzone Glitch Breaks Samantha Maxis Operator

The battle royale side of Call of Duty has become synonymous with bringing together all of the multiplayer branches over the last three years, having been introduced during Modern Warfare before intertwining with Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. With the trifecta of titles harmoniously shooting each other into oblivion in Warzone, 62 operators are now hosted in the game.

However, one of the most popular characters to use is now broken. Samantha Maxis, the legendary zombie-flayer from Treyarch's Zombies storyline appeared in Black Ops Cold War as a woman for the first time (having previously only been seen as a young possessed child), and became an instant hit with the fans. Following the Death's Bride skin last year, she's often become a widower in the BR. But, as Fortune's Keep has arrived, Maxis has now become broken.

Players on Reddit found that in Warzone Season 4, Maxis' finishing move cuts out when executed, leaving players to wriggle out of the usually fatal flex move.

Warzone Players Baffled By Broken Finishing Move glitch

The footage shows Maxis, in her basic wear, getting the better of a dastardly Roze skin that she's smacked with a stun grenade. The player then went to execute their sluggish enemy, although the move was cut short before Maxis could deal a fatal blow.

Luckily enough, after two attempts, the player managed to kill Roze in the good old-fashioned way of shooting, probing Reddit fans to applaud their perseverance. "Fair play to you for still getting them though. 100% I’d given gotten killed when it bugged and then probably rage quit," one fan said.

Some Redditors believed the move was cancelled because there was not enough room for Maxis to do her tuck and roll though. "Probably cancelling due to the lack of room there, a ton of finishing moves do it," claimed one viewer, although others argued that this shouldn't matter.

Players now believe that the move, which can also be adopted by Operators such as Portnova, is the problem rather than Maxis herself, as there needs to be more room for the character to roll around, in comparison to the 'axe in the back' move.

Either way, if you're running Maxis on Fortune's Keep, maybe it's best to keep your gun up rather than flexing your muscles, as the close-knit map will quickly break your finishing move.
