With Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 4 on the horizon, Call of Duty has now announced the arrival of the highly anticipated Vondel map alongside a wealth of multiplayer action.

Although Call of Duty fans have recently accused Activision of prioritising DMZ over any other game mode, the publisher has now revealed the Season 4 roadmap, and there’s plenty to unpack for all fans.

So, with Season 4 just around the corner, Call of Duty has officially lifted the lid on Vondel for Warzone alongside a Showdown Remaster, the Razorback AR, and a bunch more.

Vondel has been on the cards for some time now, but now it’s officially coming in Season 4, as the Call of Duty blog has shared the first look at the Amsterdam-based map.

The Resurgence map will also come with a “dynamic fog system” that will sweep sporadically across the city and change the game every single time you drop in.

Featuring up to 72 players, the map will be “between Al Mazrah and Ashika Island” in size.

The Roadmap also indicates a “Lockdown LTM”, which is “inspired by the Multiplayer mode Hardpoint” where players will have to capture objective points and hold them.

Two multiplayer maps are headed to MW2, and as promised, one will be a remastered map. Straight out of Call of Duty 4, Showdown is set to arrive at launch, with the two-floored Castle-centric map being quite a beloved design.

Players will also be able to use the Razorback, which is predominantly a Black Ops weapon, but will arrive in MW2.

In-season, a Vondel-inspired map named Kunstenaar District will come as a core map, alongside Gunfight arenas Mercado and Penthouse and the Ground War zones Ahkdar Village and Mawizeh Marsh.

Season 4 is expected to start on June 14.
