It's hammer time in Marvel's Avengers, as Crystal Dynamics' superhero showstopper refuses to give up on its fans. As Jane Foster steps up to the plate as the Mighty Thor, a rather adult joke relating to the new God of Thunder has been found hiding in plain sight.

Following the success of Marvel's Spider-Man under Insomniac Games, Crystal Dynamics powered ahead with Marvel's Avengers. Despite some original confusion, the pair are completely separate entities - as much as Avengers wishes it was Spider-Man. A stream of updates have added the likes of Hawkeye, Black Panther, and even Spider-Man for PlayStation owners.

What Is The Adult Joke In Marvel's Avengers?

Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder is sure to be a bolt of lightning into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and to coincide with this, Jane is coming to Marvel's Avengers. In the MCU, this is the same Jane we last saw in 2013's disappointing Thor: The Dark World, whereas her video game counterpart is Foster from an alternate universe.

Posting on Twitter, fans have spotted a rather blue joke. Captain America says to Foster, "the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are scared of you." When Foster can't understand why, Cap responds, "They keep saying something about you stepping on them." A chuckling Foster then jokes, "That's not what that means Rogers."

The Twitterverse also raised a few eyebrows and the joke. One wrote, "Sh*t maybe I need to buy this game now," while another added, "She can step on me anytime." A third simply concluded, "We live in a world where this is a joke in an official Marvel game. Don't know if this is good or bad." It's true that the MCU has the odd risque reference, but this is something new.

Why Are Gamers Obsessed With Being Stepped On?

Yes, this is the latest case of gamers wanting to be trampled by powerful women. You might remember when Lady Alcina Dimitrescu became a viral sensation when Resident Evil Village released last year. As well as being called "mommy," horny on Main gamers were also obsessed with her stepping on you. Someone crunched the numbers, and yes, she can stamp through your skull

Going even bigger, some of you were equally besotted by Destiny 2's Witch Queen. Foster is a lot smaller than both of these, but with Portman's long-awaited return to the MCU boasting a new and swole version of Foster, is Love and Thunder's poster girl. There couldn't be a better time to add her to Marvel's Avengers, and while some argue the game is dead, the Mighty Thor is flexing her muscles.
