Marvel's Avengers, uh… tanked pretty hard.

The game launched with an incredible wave of hype after the huge boost that the MCU has given The Avengers, but the game simply failed to follow through with a game that matched its excitement. The game was met with heavy backlash for failing to live up to the hype, with its in-game currency falling to Zimbabwean dollar levels of value and the game leaking players like a tap. It was rough.

And still, a year and a half since its release, the game continues to have problems needed ironing out - but it doesn't look like the developers are particularly keen to do so.

Marvel's Avengers Gets A Terrible Bug Fix

A widespread bug has been attacking players of Marvel's Avengers after its latest patch, which is causing the game to crash over and over with little recourse.

The bug is causing a lot of trouble in players' games, but don't worry, heroes - the game's official Twitter account has come with a fix. All you have to do is delete the entire game, with all of your progress. No, really.

"Go to Operations and Reset your Reassemble Campaign Progress. As soon as you become young Kamala on A-Day, force close the game from the PS home screen, then you should be able to start Avengers Initiative," reads the deeply unhelpful tweet from PlayAvengers. Cheers, team.

Fans React To Unhelpful Advice From Marvel's Avengers

Fans have taken to the replies to Marvel's Avengers' Twitter thread to make sure that they know exactly how ridiculous their proposed fix is for players who actually care about the progress of their campaigns.

This is a pretty clear and huge fumble from Square Enix, and after the steep decline in player numbers and general interest in Marvel's Avengers, it definitely isn't a good look. This will be the final nail in the coffin for many players - the few of them left, anyway. Nice one, team.
