Manor Lords survey hints at massive roadmap, dev suggests mod support could come soon
Manor Lords has, as a shock to many, been dominating on Steam and across the gaming world. The town-builder set in an era of knights and honour in death, the game has compelled many and kept them engaged since the title’s launch, especially by releasing via Game Pass, welcoming in players that thought they were in for a short snappy bit of excitement before they were truly hooked.
And now it looks like the game could be about to get more ambitious than ever.
Manor Lords survey hints at potential big updates
A new survey has been offered to fans of Manor Lords that seems to imply that some pretty big features could be on the way to the game.
Players have been surprised that the official Manor Lords Twitter account would put such a big question to them in the public forum of the social media site, but they’ve been offered a choice - the game’s one-man team Slavic Magic has asked them what feature they’d like to see added to the game first. They have the choice of AI cities, castles and sieges, late game economy content and new map types.
It’s a compelling way to engage with the audience for the game, and it’s pretty refreshing to see the dev go directly to the fans, even if the structure of the poll seems to imply that we could only get one of the four options in an upcoming update (though it remains to be seen).
It doesn’t end here, though.
Manor Lords dev is excited by mod support
Though mod support isn’t yet a part of Manor Lords, a video shared by a fan that sees the character model of Shrek chasing villages through a field has caught the attention of Manor Lords’ sole developer, and it seems to have impressed them. So much so, that they can easily see the potential of their involvement.
It’d be nice to see mod support welcomed to the game, especially after its incredible support from fans already. It’d be an already nice touch to the game as it gears up to introduce some big features that even you could have a say in.
