The Call of Duty: Warzone map has just been nuked. We knew it was coming, but wow.

The end of Verdansk culminated in a 100-player survival mode against zombies controlled by players. We were then treated to a cutscene showing the complete and utter destruction of the map.

We're now looking forward to what comes next, but thanks to leaks we don't need to wonder too much. A leak has ended up on Twitter, and it's a doozy.

The leak contains cinematic footage likely of the initial drop off in 80's Verdansk, placing players in a map that will feel familiar in the locations of the respective structures but will have significant differences in how these map locations are set up. As such, the Stadium is still a construction site of its future self, lacking a roof or any of its second or third level structures. Moreover, the video shows cable cars moving along between buildings presumably in what used to be Quarry.

A video has also been leaked which mentions new weapons with the PPSH and the SWISS K, which you may remember from previous CoD titles.

What's Happening In Call Of Duty Right Now?

The roll-out of the updated map is currently underway and is staged in multiple waves of content, with the first scenario playing out in Verdansk. Slowly being overrun by a herd of zombies, players have to stay alive against the undead army. Once players fall, they themselves join the horde and have to eliminate the remaining living. All the mortals have to fend for themselves are juggernaut suits, turning them into slow moving, battling gun-carrying tanks.

As the timer ticks down, a nuke is launched, ending the scenario and putting the player in a cinematic, outlining the impact of the zombie apocalypse and the heavy measure of a nuclear strike to evaporate the problem.
