"You dun it nao Arr Porrer, you gun added me tur Ogwarts Legurcee." While Hogwarts Legacy and 2001's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone video game are 22 years apart, fans have used the Time-Turner to bring the pair together.

When you think of the early Harry Potter games, you'll likely remember wanting to punch Malfoy's pixelated face, hitting Peeves with the Knockback Jinx, and swapping beans for your Nimbus. Argonaut Games' OG is a forgotten classic, but now, someone has put PS1 Rubeus Hagrid/Haggord in Hogwarts Legacy.

How Is PS1 Hagrid In Hogwarts Legacy?

Modding, of course it's modding. Just like we've seen sadistic players swap wands for guns in Hogwarts Legacy, someone else has come up with the brilliant brainwave of taking the Hogwarts gamekeeper and sending him back in time.

Unfortunately, there's no actual Hagrid in Hogwarts Legacy. Instead, modder CHRBRG has unleashed a "Hagrid Paintings" mod to Nexus Mods. Here, the famed gamekeeper is put in the frame of the castle's infamous living paintings.

Instead of putting a new-gen Hagrid that fits the game's aesthetic, we have the low-poly version from 2001's The Philosopher's Stone. Better yet, the mod transforms EVERY painting into Hagrid and even has his voice lines. It's a baffling (but brilliant) mod you need to download.

Is Hagrid In Hogwarts Legacy?

Because Hogwarts Legacy is set in 1890 - and as Hagrid isn't born until 1928 - the big guy isn't in Hogwarts Legacy. There are a couple of ties to familiar families like the Weasleys and the Blacks, but the bearded brute won't be around for decades.

Still, there are a few seeds of Hagrid's arrival. If you know where to look, you can find Hagrid's Hut in Hogwarts Legacy, although it obviously isn't his yet. The Gamekeeper's Hut is exactly where it was in the movies - to the southeast of the school's grounds.

To get there, we recommend teleporting to the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame, then heading south to get across the long bridge. Follow the stone path toward the bottom of the steps until it becomes a dirt path. To the left of the track, there's a familiar-looking pumpkin patch and Hagrid's Hut overlooking the lake.

Hogwarts Legacy Has A Hagrid Tribute

If that wasn't enough, TikTok user Why..so.sirius spotted a nod to the late Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in Warner Bros.' movies. Behind the Gamekeeper's Hut, there's a gravestone with a Hippogriff etched on it - in reference to Buckbeak. Even if the timelines don't marry up, we love this touch.

While Hagrid will presumably be sitting out any Hogwarts Legacy sequels, the fact that a certain Albus Dumbledore joins the school in 1892 - and that would be your final year if we get more games - he could be poised for a cameo in a mythical threequel.

In the meantime, we'll have to go back to modding Hagrid into Hogwarts Legacy and its inevitable sequels. As long as we get more PS1 Haggord, we're happy.
