Hideo Kojima's Twitter is an absolute goldmine. From the development icon's glee in finally meeting his favourite band CHVRCHES, to his brilliant movie reviews, his Twitter has become a hub for players to gravitate towards for fans of his work.

More than this, Hideo Kojima's Twitter keeps us supplied with minor teases for what he's working on next. And we're not sure if he's made a tease that fans have wanted for years or not.

Hideo Kojima confuses fans with P.T. tease

Hideo Kojima loves to poke fun at how desperately fans will dig for subtext in his tweets looking for teases of his games, and it's clear that he's really playing into the widespread hopes he'll revive Silent Hills - the game he was once working on as confirmed by the iconic playable trailer P.T.

Kojima tweeted a screenshot of the Twitter page for the upcoming Yorgos Lanthimos film, Poor Things. It's followed by a closer look at the account's profile picture, a simple look at the letters "pt," in recognisably long and uneven font.

We presume that the tweet has been made to make fun of the fact that the film's shortened logo looks quite similar to that of Kojima’s P.T, and how quick fans are to assume that two mere letters indicate that the developer is working on the biggest game of his career.

Is Kojima really teasing P.T?

Fans are losing their minds over the potential return for P.T, but the chances are that Kojima is just playing a practical joke.

One wrote, "Don't do this to me, please don't do this to me," while another added , "Why do this to us." A third concluded, "Don’t tease us like this, Kojima-san 😭."

If you thought that this meant the game would finally be coming as a result of the tweet, then the joke has been made at your dispense. Hideo Kojima thinks you're goofy as hell. Probably.
