One Elden Ring player won't have to worry about being Maidenless after designing their character based on the 'Handsome Squidward' meme.

In the lead-up to its release, Elden Ring had us on the edge of our seats as we eagerly awaited to explore the fantastical open-world of the Lands Between. With Souls-like game legend Hidetaka Miyazaki at the helm as director and Game Of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin writing the game's lore, we knew we were in for something great. And it looks like it was well worth the wait as Elden Ring went on to take the industry by storm, pulling in high praise from players and critics alike.

In a world full of fantasy, it didn't take long for some incredibly creative players to start adding their own fantastical twists to the game. Now, one player has brought a bit of Bikini Bottom to the Lands Between and we couldn't have asked for anything better.

Elden Ring Player Brings Handsome Squidward To The Lands Between

Elden Ring player "Kazhky", posted a screenshot on Reddit of their character building process. With pale blue skin, sky-high cheekbones, and plump pouting lips, fans were ecstatic to recognise that Kazhky had based their Tarnished on the 'Handsome Squidward' meme.

For anyone who hasn't come across the cultural icon, the Handsome Squidward meme originates from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode 'The Two Faces of Squidward'. In the episode, disgruntled Krusty Krab employee Squidward Tentacles is accidentally slammed in the face by SpongeBob, making him handsome.

Can I Turn My Tarnished Into Handsome Squidward?

As curious Redditors wondered how they could add a drop-dead gorgeous Squidward into their playthrough, Kazhky posted a link to a YouTube video tutorial giving players the chance to turn their Tarnished into the clarinet-playing squid.

Kazhky isn't the only player who has been having a play around with Elden Ring. Some creative mod-makers have already found a way to add Thomas The Tank Engine into the game and, of course, it didn't take long for the nude mods to arrive. Even Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann brought a bit of The Last Of Us to the Lands Between with his fantastic character design.
