Fortnite Chapter 3 is finally underway, and fans are starting to discover secrets scattered around the map. From the new sliding mechanics to the springy webs at The Daily Bugle, the new update to Fortnite has brought some colossal changes to the game - removing as many familiar features as features that have been added.

Players are readjusting to the new reality for the battle royale game, but so far, they're enjoying it. And some players are taking advantage of the new environments to score some massive kills.

Fortnite Players Kill Enemies With Falling Trees

Fortnite players are going nuts with the new mechanics of the game, and are now scoring kills with falling trees. The new tree mechanics have just been introduced, but it clearly hasn't taken long for players to exploit them for their own nefarious gains.

One player shared a video to the FortniteBR subreddit and has shown off some ingenuity in finishing off a foe. Shooting at an enemy from afar, the player scores some damage, but as they duck behind a tree, get the idea to topple it instead. Destroying the tree and causing it to fall, the environment obliterates the foe with ease.

It's interesting to see that this is possible with the new tree mechanics, especially so early on in the season. Whether Epic will keep this in remains to be seen, but remember, a tree in real-life could kill you if it fell from above.

What Do Fans Think Of Chapter 3 So Far?

Despite the whopping wait times to get into the game when Chapter 3 launched, fans are loving the new season now that they've made it into lobbies.

Spider-Man has been a long-awaited character as it is, and with the addition of The Daily Bugle and potentially more themed content to come, Chapter 3 has gone off with a bang. Basically, players can't get enough of it.

New features like the falling trees and the new sliding mechanics have made Fortnite feel brand-new again, and we're excited to see what else Epic Games brings to the table during this season.

Now you know how to earn an easy kill with a tree, why not head out into the wilderness and practice your best Kratos from God of War impression to be the next grizzled Fortnite lumberjack?
