FC Barcelona has announced the arrival of their new roster ahaead of Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season X Winter Split.

After announcing the departure of the original roster earlier this month, the Catalonians have now confirmed that former Nameseekers star Ronald "Tahz" Oosting will take the reigns as captain, alongside ex-Libertas player Riccardo "Rizex45" Mazzotta and rising star Fredi "Blurry" Lazarus. Wesley "Kairos" Silva will also join as coach after departing from his post at Nefarious in September.

Nameseekers have managed to qualify for all Regional Events so far this season, despite not managing to make the final stage on each occasion. The side, who allowed Kurtis "Kash" Cannon to leave and form with Reizex45's ex-Libertas teammate Mike "Mikeboy" Verkuijlen, has now made a huge step forward in their developing careers, signing for one of the biggest organisations in the world.

The news comes with mixed reactions as this up-and-coming roster comes with less esteemed players than the roster that they originally let go. Former World Champion David "Deevo" Morrow was one of the players who was released from the organisation which, according to their former coach German "El General" Micciullo, was "a club decision and not Barça Esport's".

Should German's tweet be believed, the move to remove the roster that had finished fourth in Europe in RCLS S9, was the decision of the club rather than the esports sector. He added, "I want to reassure everyone that the esports section did everything they could to keep the team in the organization".

Whether the move has you scratching your head or sipping your tea, FC Barcelona is back and hopefully for good.
