Just days after Counter-Strike: Global Offensive favourite Jason "JasonR" Ruchelski left FaZe Clan in search of greener VALORANT pastures, the tournament-topping team has just signed a new arrival. Being welcomed to the family with open arms is Andrej "Babybay" Francisty.

FaZe Clan already has two former Overwatch players on its VALORANT squad thanks to Corey "corey" Nigra and Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo, but now, Babybay is also getting in on the action.

The news was announced on the official FaZe Twitter and showed off Babybay's skills for why he's the perfect new addition. There's still one more VALORANT spot open on the squad, and according to ESPN Esports, it could be Shane "Rawkus" Flaherty.

At the time of writing, Rawkus is yet to sign, but it's important to note the site correctly predicted Babybay's appointment. Both Babybay and Rawkus retired from the Overwatch League this year, meaning they're free agents and could mean big things for FaZe Clan. If Babybay and Rawkus make the cut, it will be a who's who of Overwatch faces alongside Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen.

Many had clocked Babybay would be making the switch to VALORANT after his abrupt retirement from Overwatch in July. As well as his elite hitscan aim skills being a natural fit with Riot Games' first-person shooter, Babybay had also been droppong some not-so subtle hints by playing VALORANT on his Twitch.

On August 4, Babybay posted a cryptic tweet saying "Today's the day", meaning everything lined up neatly with FaZe Clan's official announcement. There's a fresh-faced crop of players on FaZe's VALORANTteam, with all of them having signed in the past couple of months. Now, we just have to wait and see who takes that coveted final seat.
