It feels like we've waited a lifetime, but Elden Ring is officially just around the corner. February will see the game's release, and after many months of trailers, gameplay peeks and two 'Most Anticipated' Game Awards to its name, the fantasy behemoth is not only set to define its genre, but define the console generation. Blimey.

It's undeniably an incredibly big deal, and it has the potential to be the first game that players think of when they think of FromSoftware, maybe even lifting some of the pressure off of Dark Souls. And now, we've got a new peek at one of the most crucial elements of the game.

Elden Ring's Character Customisation Has Leaked

The character customisation screen for Elden Ring has been leaked, offering our first look at exactly what they can do to craft the character they'll be taking on a grand adventure.

The creation screen leak features an exploration of most of the features that the game will offer as options to players, as the leaker makes their own character.

Not only does the game give you the option to change your character's appearance, but similarly to Dark Souls, it also gives you the option to choose your character's class. Though the leak doesn't show a lot of text, and some of the textures are very broken (likely a result of extracting the footage in the first place), it's still interesting to see a character created in a game that isn't out yet, especially for a game as promising as Elden Ring.

But, if you're in the camp of thinking that this leak enters spoiler territory, you're not likely to have a very good month in the run-up to the game's launch. Either way, the Elden Ring character customisation is something right out of our nightmares.

Elden Ring Spoilers Are Already Online

Be wary on your travels, adventurer - narrative spoilers for Elden Ring are already floating around online. A Reddit post flagged up that a huge slew of massive narrative spoilers are already drifting around on the likes of Twitter and Instagram, but the very nature of the spoilers are hidden - so any 'leak' could in fact be genuine, and threaten your experience of the game.

Though this character creation screen doesn't offer a massive reveal into the gameplay of Elden Ring, it could still be construed as a spoiler - so sorry if you're not looking for any details at all.

After all, Elden Ring is a massive AAA release in 2022, so it's only natural that fans are digging around for anything they can get their hands on. Bring on the game itself - because we can't wait for it all to come together.
